Planting Seeds of Intention

Here we are, at the end of the first quarter of 2021!

How has your year been thus far?

Before the year arrived, I took stock of my life and, rather than determining New Year’s resolutions, I took stock of my life and decided to set goals for what I want to accomplish in this season of my life.

Regardless of where you are in your life, it is time to consider where you want to go from here.  What do you want and are willing to work toward?  Once you determine your answers to the questions, this next part is essential.

Plant seeds of intention towards those things.

What do I mean by planting seeds of intention? Embracing the will to do those things that will propel you forward, often out of your comfort zone. Not that comfort zones are bad, if they are not holding you back from being the best you can be. It does take courage when fear of the unknown would have you cowering back, when doubts flood you or a storm comes against you. You must find and grow the strength, courage, and gifts you have to will yourself to do the work required.

I am planting seeds of intention to grow and heal in my spiritual, soul, and body; to write, which is a passion of mine, to get serious about my business, and, to exercise and eat healthier.  In finance, I intend to decrease debt and increase savings, to embrace myself and my voice – to say what I mean and mean what I say.  I intend to live in the present and to embrace love, kindness, and positivity.

Those seeds of intention will not grow without my doing the work, which brings us to the next phase – figuring out what needs to be done.  In order to heal, I must know my wounds exist, even when the knowledge causes pain.  In order to write, I must figure out what to write and if or how, I’m going to display my work.  I needed to re-commit to my business, which I have, and I am taking training classes to learn how to grow it.  I began taking tai chi and bought the Body Groove system to get myself in shape.  I am exploring healthier eating options.  In my finances, I am aware of my credit card balances and disciplining myself to stick to my budget.

All these things take time and sacrifice, but these things keep us active, keep us growing and learning, and contributing to the world community.

Now it is your turn.  What seeds of intention do you need to plant to become the well-balanced, happy, and positive person you want to be? Believe me, it is time well spent.
